Only candidates whose documents clearly establish eligibility are taken forward for the online test and/or interview.

2. Online Examination:

  • Mode: Online objective test.
  • Structure: English Language (25 questions, 25 marks), Reasoning (25 questions, 25 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions, 25 marks), Professional Knowledge relevant to the post (75 questions, 75 marks); total 150 questions for 150 marks, composite time of 120 minutes.
  • Language: All tests except English are bilingual (English & Hindi); English Language test is only qualifying and its marks are not added in merit.
  • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 35% in each test for General/EWS; SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates get 5% relaxation.
  • Negative Marking: 1/4th of the marks assigned to each question is deducted for every wrong answer; no penalty for unanswered questions.

3. Interview: Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the online tests and rank high in order of merit (category-wise) are called for a personal interview, generally in the ratio of about 1:3 to the number of vacancies. The interview carries 100 marks with minimum qualifying marks of 50% for General/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

Final Merit: If both online exam and interview are conducted, final merit is prepared by combining scores of online examination (Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Professional Knowledge) and interview in a 70:30 ratio, subject to candidates qualifying in both stages. If the online exam is not conducted, selection will be based solely on interview marks in descending order of merit up to the number of vacancies.
