Railway JE recruitment 2026 - 3993 vacancy

 

Railway  Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Ministry of Railways have invited online applications for 3993 vacancies of Junior  Engineer (JE) and Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) under CEN No. 04/2026. Applications can be submitted online from 14 August 2026 to 13 September 2026 (23:59 hrs) through the official RRB websites, with recruitment spread across 21 RRBs and 37 post categories in the Electrical, Engineering (Civil), Mechanical, Signal & Telecommunication and Stores departments.

Closing date for Submission of Online Application. 13.09.2026 (23:59 hours)

Last Date for Application fee payment for the submitted applications. 15.09.2026

Age limit :- 18-33 years

 

Education Qualification

Three years Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation and Control Engineering/Information Technology / Communication Engineering / Computer Science and Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering/ Civil Engineering or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognize

 

EXAMINATION FEE:

Candidates will have to pay the prescribed fee as per their community/category detailed below:

1.	For all candidates (except categories mentioned below at Sl. No. 2). Out of this fee of ₹ 500/-, an amount of ₹ 400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in 1 st stage CBT.	500/-
2.	For candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC)*. (Caution to Candidates: EBC should not be confused with OBC or EWS. EBC Certificate should also not be confused with Extremely Backward Class Certificate issued by some State Governments. This fee of ₹ 250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in 1 st stage CBT	250/-

 

 

RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

(a) Candidates should apply only through online mode through the official websites of any RRBs. Candidates can apply to only one RRB and only one common online application (in order of preference for any or all the notified posts).

(b) The recruitment process shall comprise of the following stages:

(i) 1 st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I)

(ii) 2 nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-II)

(iii) Document Verification (DV)

(iv) Medical Examination (ME)
